Reference Binding

This service is designed to extend the useful life of valuable or rare books that are likely to need a strong, long-lasting binding.

Our bindings will keep secure items that are large and weighty and will withstand heavy usage.

As standard, books are bound using waterproof library buckram, but this can be substituted with other cloths and leathers if requested. All rebound books can still be easily referenced and photocopied.

Pockets can be added on the inside back board to house loose inserts, folded maps or CDs.

Folded charts and maps will be refolded before rebinding and plates remounted on guards if necessary.

Security triggers and barcodes can be added to books before returning them to you.
